There are no fundraising events, no complex overhead, and no administrative burden on Members.
Just direct, collective giving where every dollar stays local.
Members donate $100 per quarter ($400 annually). No long-term contract required. Donate by check payable directly to the winning nonprofit or online using grapevine.org (website that processes donations to charities all over the world). Using either method, Member donations are tax-deductible.
Members can nominate 501(c)(3) nonprofits, from previously vetted list serving residents anywhere in Nassau County.
At each gathering:
3 nonprofits have been selected from member nominations
Each selected nonprofit gives a short presentation of their mission and their needs
Members hear directly from those doing the work and learn about nonprofits in their community
Members vote at the meeting for their favorite of the three presenting nonprofits. The chosen nonprofit receives up to $10,000 pooled funding; a significant gift to make a real difference. If more than $10,000 is available, Members can give a donation to more than one nonprofit per quarter.
Four times per year, Members hear new voices, learn about local nonprofits, and create growing community impact. Our mission is to help 100 Members make a tax-deductible donation of $100 per quarter and together give $10,000 per quarter to the nonprofit they select. In a year, that adds up to $40,000 of charitable donations to local nonprofits chosen by the Members.
